  • What are the benefits of regular dog grooming?
Regular grooming offers numerous benefits for dogs beyond just aesthetic appeal. It helps maintain a healthy coat and skin by removing dirt, dead hair, and debris, which can prevent matting and skin irritations. Grooming sessions also provide an opportunity to inspect your dog for any signs of health issues like skin infections, parasites, or lumps. Moreover, grooming promotes bonding between you and your pet, as it involves gentle handling and positive interactions, contributing to their overall well-being.
  • How often should I groom my dog?
The frequency of grooming depends on various factors such as the breed, coat type, length, and lifestyle of your dog. Just ask us when you check your dog or cat in, as we can let you know what may work for your breed. Generally, dogs with longer or thicker coats require more frequent grooming, while those with short coats may need less. It's recommended to establish a regular grooming routine, which typically includes brushing, bathing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. We usually recommend rebooking every 6-8 weeks.
  • How long will the grooming appointment take?
The grooming appointment duration depends on your dogs breed, size and services requested. Typically appointments range from 1-3hrs.
  • How soon can I bring my puppy in for a groom?
The earlier the better! It really benefits your puppy to be exposed to the grooming process early so as they grow nothing about the process is a surprise.
  • What are the drop off and pick up times?
Our drop off times are between 8am-12pm. If you have a preferred time you wish to pick up your pup, please let us know when you book your appointment. Otherwise we will notify you when your dog is ready for collection.
  • What tools do I need for maintaining grooming my dog at home?
Essential grooming tools include a quality brush or comb suitable for your dog's coat type, a gentle pet shampoo. We don't recommend nail clippers or a grinder at home, in the event of hurting your dog or cat. However a soft towel or blow dryer are ideal essentials. Additionally, specific tools such as dematting combs, slicker brushes, or deshedding tools may be necessary depending on your dog's coat condition and breed.
